Website Information Is for General Information Only
The information on this website is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. Website content is not individualized occupational therapy advice, medical advice, educational advice, legal advice, or emergency guidance. Information on this website should not be used as a substitute for individualized evaluation, consultation, professional judgment, medical care, educational planning, or services from qualified professionals.
No Therapist-Client Relationship From Website Use
Using this website, reading website content, emailing Participation Pathways, or scheduling a discovery call does not automatically create a therapist-client relationship. A therapist-client relationship begins only after Participation Pathways agrees to provide services, appropriate consent and intake documents are completed, and the scope of services is established.
Discovery Calls
A discovery call is a brief introductory call to determine whether Participation Pathways may be an appropriate fit and which service may be most relevant. A discovery call is not an occupational therapy evaluation, treatment session, consultation report, records review, emergency service, or individualized therapeutic recommendation. Participation Pathways may decline services or recommend a different provider, agency, school-based process, medical provider, or emergency resource when appropriate.
Services
Participation Pathways may offer services such as:
Parent consultation
Records review and recommendations
Occupational therapy evaluation
School participation consultation
Related pediatric occupational therapy consultation services
The specific scope, cost, limits, documentation, scheduling, and expectations for any service will be described separately before services begin.
No Emergency Services
This website and online scheduling system are not for emergencies. Do not use this website, email, online scheduling, or website contact methods for urgent, crisis, medical, mental health, safety, or emergency needs.
If there is an emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. If there is an immediate safety concern involving a child, contact emergency services or the appropriate local agency.
Privacy and Protected Information
Please do not submit private medical, developmental, educational, diagnostic, school, therapy, or child-specific information through general website forms or general email. Participation Pathways may use HIPAA-enabled Acuity Scheduling for secure scheduling, intake forms, agreements, and related service coordination when appropriate protections and agreements are in place. Regular Squarespace website forms should not be used to collect protected health information. Acuity’s HIPAA guidance states that Acuity can support HIPAA-related use, while other Squarespace website tools, including regular form blocks, cannot be used as part of a HIPAA-compliant solution.
Your use of this website is also subject to the Participation Pathways Privacy Policy and Notice of Privacy Practices.
Online Scheduling and Third-Party Tools
Participation Pathways may use third-party tools, including Acuity Scheduling, Squarespace, Google tools, email providers, or other technology services. Third-party tools may have their own terms, privacy policies, and accessibility features. Participation Pathways is not responsible for all aspects of third-party platforms, but aims to use tools that support privacy, security, and usability.
Website Accessibility
Participation Pathways aims to make this website accessible and usable for visitors. Accessibility is an ongoing process. The Americans with Disabilities Act applies to businesses open to the public, and ADA.gov identifies website accessibility as part of access to goods, services, and programs. If you have difficulty accessing website content or scheduling a discovery call, please contact Participation Pathways for assistance

You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, publish, sell, or use website content for commercial purposes without written permission from Participation Pathways.

This website may contain links to third-party websites or services. Participation Pathways is not responsible for the content, privacy practices, accessibility, security, policies, or accuracy of third-party websites.

Accuracy and Availability of Website Content
Participation Pathways aims to provide accurate and current website information, but does not guarantee that all content will always be complete, current, error-free, or available.
Services, availability, scheduling options, fees, service descriptions, and policies may change at any time.
Participation Pathways may update, remove, or modify website content without notice.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Participation Pathways is not liable for damages arising from use of, or inability to use, this website or third-party tools linked from this website.
This includes direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including damages related to website errors, interruptions, technical issues, third-party platforms, unauthorized access, or reliance on general website information.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some limitations may not apply.
No Guarantees
Participation Pathways does not guarantee specific outcomes from website use, discovery calls, consultation, evaluation, records review, recommendations, or occupational therapy services.
Recommendations and services depend on the information available, the child’s needs, the context, the scope of services, and the participation of relevant caregivers, professionals, and team members.
Payments, Fees, and Cancellations
Fees, payment expectations, cancellation policies, and service terms will be provided separately when applicable. Scheduling a discovery call does not require a visitor to purchase services and does not guarantee that services will be offered.
Participation Pathways may update fees, scheduling policies, cancellation policies, and service availability at any time.
Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Changes to These Terms
Participation Pathways may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. When changes are made, the effective date at the top of this page will be updated. Continued use of the website after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms & Conditions.
